Common use of MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE VACATION BALANCE Clause in Contracts

MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE VACATION BALANCE. As of the pay period containing January 1 of each year, and every such pay period containing January 1 thereafter, until December 31, 2009, the vacation leave balance of any employee which exceeds the maximum accrual will be adjusted downward to the maximum vacation balance level (by placing the excess vacation in a Departmental catastrophic sick leave pool) and the County will thereafter have no obligation with respect to the vacation leave affected by the adjustment.
