Common use of Match Clause in Contracts

Match. 1.1. Grantee certifies that it (a) meets the requirements of this agreement and (b) has at least 20 percent of its support (including in-kind contributions) from sources other than federal funds for the program described in the attached exhibits. Therefore, one dollar in cash or in-kind match is required for each four dollars of federal funding received. 1.2. Failure of Grantee to apply non-federal financial support to the program described in the attached exhibits in the amount of at least 20 percent of such program’s costs, shall result in a proportionate reduction in the amount of federal funds awarded under this agreement and may result in the return of funds already awarded. To meet this matching funds requirement, Grantee shall apply non- federal financial support to the program, as described in the Budget.
