Common use of Majority Clause in Contracts

Majority. Each elected member shall have one vote. Co-opted members will not have a vote. Any matter will be decided by a simple majority of those members of the Councils represented in the room at the time the question is put. In the event of equality of votes the person presiding at the meeting will be entitled to a casting vote under paragraphs 39(1) and 44 of Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972.
