Mainstreamed Students. A. Students with IEPs who are mainstreamed for any period of time shall be counted as full time students in both the regular classroom, and the exceptional education classroom case management load.

Mainstreamed Students. The Board recognizes that mainstreamed students require special attention from the classroom teacher. The Board shall make a reasonable effort to equitably assign mainstreamed students to teachers and/or sections at each grade level. It is understood that in the best interest of education; inclusion will be made with input from regular education teachers in whose classroom(s) said student(s) are scheduled to be mainstreamed.

Mainstreamed Students. Every effort will be made to balance the number of students with IEPs within all classes at each school site. Special Education students shall not be mainstreamed into a classroom that is at the contractually stated class size maximum.
Mainstreamed Students. The receiving teacher(s) shall be informed by the sending teacher(s), in writing, in advance, of the special needs of mainstreamed students. Maximum twenty-five (25), thirty (30) and thirty-five (35) class size limitations otherwise applicable shall be unchanged.

Mainstreamed Students. The parties recognize that students having been tested and diagnosed as having physical, mental, and/or emotional problems will require specialized classroom experience; and, that their presence in a classroom may interfere with the normal instructional program, and place extraordinary and unfair demands upon the teacher. Thus when: a. An IEPC has determined that a special needs student shall be placed in a regular classroom And, b. There is no aide or Special Education teacher assigned to that room And, c. The class size for that room is at contractual maximum, the class size shall be reduced using the formula agreed upon by the Special Education Director/Superintendent and the WHEA. [94-95]
