Common use of LPDC Clause in Contracts

LPDC. ‌ Membership of the committee shall consist of four (4) members of the Rossford Association of Classroom Teachers appointed by the President and three (3) district Administrators appointed by the Superintendent. All members of the RACT will be considered in this manner regardless of license. When consideration of an Administrative license takes place the Committee Administrators vote shall be doubled. The terms of each member shall be as follows; RACT shall replace or re- appoint two (2) members each year. New members will be submitted to the Superintendent to be approved by the Board of Education. All teacher member terms shall be for two years. The Committee will meet at least four (4) times per year, with additional meetings scheduled with approval by the Superintendent. The Committee shall establish its annual schedule. The meetings shall occur during the school day with release time (half day) provided as needed. The Board of Education shall be responsible for backup plans and documentation generated by both the Committee and Licensee. The Committee shall be responsible for establishing guidelines by which the Committee is to function. These guidelines should include the criteria that will be used to determine whether or not a professional development plan will be approved; procedures for assessing the extent to which a staff member's professional development plan has been accomplished and the procedure the Committee will use to hear appeals of its decision. The appeals procedure is contained in Appendix H of this Master Agreement. The Superintendent or his/her designee shall report periodically to the Board on the operation of this important committee and on the progress staff members are making in fulfilling their professional development plans.
