Common use of Local Unit Officers Clause in Contracts

Local Unit Officers. The local unit officers shall not be recognized by the Employer until the Union has given the Employer written notice of the selection and the representative's specific scope of authority. Unless otherwise agreed to by the Employer, the investigation of grievances and other Union business shall be conducted only during nonworking times, and shall not interfere with the work of other employees.
