Lobby Day Clause Samples
The Lobby Day clause establishes the terms and conditions under which an organization or group arranges a designated day for its members to meet with legislators or government officials to advocate for specific issues. Typically, this clause outlines the scheduling, participant responsibilities, and any logistical support provided, such as transportation or briefing materials. Its core function is to ensure that all parties understand their roles and expectations for the event, thereby facilitating effective advocacy and minimizing confusion or miscommunication.
Lobby Day. The Employer will release and replace four (4) bargaining unit members to participate in a SEIU Healthcare Minnesota sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes. The union will select the members and notify the Employer at least two (2) weeks in advance thereof.
Lobby Day. The Employer will allow time off for a regularly scheduled shift for two (20 SEIU Healthcare Minnesota bargaining unit members to participate in a SEIU Healthcare Minnesota sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes. The participating members will be selected by the Union.
Lobby Day. The Employer will allow five (5) members chosen by the Union Business Representative to attend one (1) SEIU Healthcare Minnesota Lobby Day per year per employee on paid time.
Lobby Day. Up to two (2) bargaining unit members shall be allowed eight (8) hours unpaid leave, without necessity to use PTO, for the purpose of participating in a SEIU-sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes. The two (2) unit members must provide written notice of their request within scheduling timelines and, in order to minimize scheduling problems, shall not be from the same department.
Lobby Day. The Employer will allow time off without pay for bargaining unit members to participate in a Union Local's sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes. A maximum of two (2) members will be allowed off for this purpose only once per year for a period of no longer than two (2) consecutive days. A maximum of one (1) member from Dietary and one (1) member from the Activities Department will be allowed off at the same time.
Lobby Day. Up to one day per calendar year, the Employer will excuse without attendance penalty, two (2) bargaining unit members to participate in a Local’s sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes/hospitals.
Lobby Day. The Employer will allow up to two employees (one nurse and one CNA) one day each to lobby at the Capitol for long-term care. The day will be with pay and a report will be made by the two employees at the next Labor-Management meeting. The employees must give a minimum 30-day notice. Labor-Management Meetings

One time per calendar year, the Employer shall pay for the lost time for up to two SEIU Healthcare Minnesota members up to a maximum of eight (8) hours to participate in a SEIU Healthcare Minnesota sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for Nursing Homes. The member will be selected by the Business Representative assigned to the facility. In order to qualify for this benefit, the employee must be scheduled to work on the Lobby Day. These hours paid shall not count towards hours worked for the purposes of calculating overtime.
Lobby Day. With a minimum of thirty (30 days notice, the Employer will pay seven and one‐half (7.5) or eight (8) hours of lost time for one member from each bargaining unit to participate in a Local 113 sponsored Lobby Day to promote funding for nursing homes. The Union shall provide the Employer information regarding the time, date and location. The two (2) members will be selected by the Business Representative.
