LOADPORT Clause Samples

The LOADPORT clause defines the specific location at which cargo is to be loaded onto a vessel under a shipping contract. It typically specifies the name of the port, and may include additional details such as the terminal or berth, to ensure clarity about where the loading operations will take place. By clearly identifying the load port, this clause helps prevent disputes over the place of delivery, ensures logistical coordination, and allocates responsibility for the cargo at a defined point in the shipping process.
