Common use of Liberal Construction Clause in Contracts

Liberal Construction. Any general rule of construction to the contrary notwithstanding, this Conservation Easement shall be liberally construed in favor of its primary purposes. The parties recognize and agree that the primary purposes of this Conservation Easement are to preserve and protect the Protected Property and to improve and enhance its Conservation Values. If any provision in this instrument is found to be ambiguous, an interpretation consistent with the primary purposes that would render the provision valid should be favored over any interpretation that would render it invalid.
