Common use of Legal Interpretation Clause in Contracts

Legal Interpretation. This Lease shall be interpreted and enforced in accordance with the laws of the state where the Project is located. The determination that any provision of this Lease is invalid, void, illegal, or unenforceable shall not affect or invalidate the remainder. All obligations of the parties requiring any performance after the expiration of the Term shall survive the expiration or earlier termination of this Lease and shall be fully enforceable in accordance with those provisions pertaining thereto. If Tenant consists of two or more parties, then all parties comprising the Tenant shall be jointly and severally liable for all obligations of Tenant hereunder. Should any provisions of this Lease require judicial interpretation, it is agreed that the court interpreting or construing the same shall not apply a presumption that the terms of any such provision shall be more strictly construed against one party or the other by reason of a rule of construction that a document is to be construed most strictly against the party who itself or through its agent prepared the same, it being agreed that the agents of both parties hereto have participated in the preparation of this Lease.
