Common use of Leave Donation Clause in Contracts

Leave Donation. 1. Subject to compliance with the following provisions, employees covered by this Agreement may be provided the opportunity of donating accrued leave time to a designated employee whenever extraordinary circumstances require the designated employee to be absent from work due to an extended, non-work related illness or injury, that is of a life threatening nature and when the designated employee has exhausted all earned leave. Extraordinary circumstances also include any reason for which an employee is on approved Family and Medical leave.
