Leave Deductions. For the purposes of accounting, one half (1/2) day shall be charged against a teacher’s requested leave if the teacher is absent from his/her position for approved leave reasons for four (4) or fewer periods or four (4) or fewer hours. Likewise, one (1) full day shall be charged against the teacher’s requested leave if the teacher is absent for more than four
Leave Deductions. For time loss of less than two (2) hours, employee may make up the time or be docked within the same pay period. If denied the opportunity to make up time lost, the employee may conference with the appropriate district Executive Director. (July 2012)

Leave Deductions. Sick leave, personal and vacation leaves will be deducted from the employees accumulated total in half (1/2) day increments. Leave of less than half (1/2) day may be arranged with prior approval of the Building Administrator.

For Police Officers on either a 3-12 or 4-10 Plan alternative work schedule, leave deductions from appropriate leave banks accruing on the employees behalf, e.g., sick leave, vacation, family medical leave, bereavement leave, etc., shall be entered on the employees time sheets in time increments for such leave taken as is identical to the respective employees work schedule (e.g., am employee on the 3-12 Plan using one full day of vacation shall charge 12 hours to either their accrued vacation balance; and, an employee on the 4-10 Plan, if becoming ill and leaving work after 3 hours on the job, would charge 7 hours to their accrued sick leave balance).
