Learner Rates. Learner jobs requiring “learner” rates due to lack of adequate training opportunity provided by the promotional sequence of related jobs shall be negotiated and made a part of this agreement. A schedule of learner rates for the respective learning periods of hours of actual learning experience with the Company on jobs for which training opportunity is not provided by the promotional sequence of related jobs, shall be established at the level of the Standard Hourly Wage Scale rates for the respective job classes. This determination shall be on the basis of the required employment training and experience time specified in Factor of the job classification record of the respective job as follows: Code Seven (7) to twelve (12) months; One learner period classification at a level two job classes below the job class of the job. Code Thirteen (13) to eighteen (18) months; A first learner period classification at a level two job classes below the job class of the job.
