Joints. Stones shall be so laid that all joints are fully packed with mortar and chips. Face joints shall not be thicker than 20 mm. When plastering or pointing is not required to be done, the joints shall be struck flush and finished at the time of laying. Otherwise, the joints shall be raked to a minimum depth of 20 mm by raking tool during the progress of work, when the mortar is still green.
