Involuntary/Voluntary Transfer. If the Employer determines to transfer an employee from one building to another, one grade level to another, or change the subject matter to be taught by a teacher, the Employer will notify such teacher in writing as to the reason(s) for the transfer by July 1, of the summer preceding the change. The Employer may make changes after July 1, for unforeseen circumstances but in such event promptly shall notify the employee in writing as to the reason(s) for the transfer affected by the change. Employees shall suffer no loss in rights, benefits, or privileges as a result of transfer. Involuntary transfers will not be done for an arbitrary or capricious manner. A person will be paid curriculum rate, for one day for time required to pack his/her old room, move, and unpack in the new room provided it is involuntary and the transfer is to another building. The new room will be made a priority to clean.
