Common use of Interrupted Service Clause in Contracts

Interrupted Service. In the event that CITY declares an emergency due to road or weather conditions or other reasons, and the building is closed for the day or opens late, or closes early, CITY may grant excused absences to Service Provider’s employees or may require Service Provider to have the employees make up the lost time in order to complete the Janitorial duties. Service Provider must make every effort to provide Janitorial services, particularly if the occurrence is on a Friday or is on a day preceding a holiday. Work should be performed during the holiday or weekend so that the building will be cleaned prior to office hours on the following work day.
