INTERPRETATION AND. For the purpose of this Agreement: “Abandonment of Position”; an employee abandons his position when he is absent for more than five (5) consecutive working days, and he has not, directly or indirectly, contacted the Manager. An employee who abandons his position is terminated;
INTERPRETATION AND. For the purposes of this Agreement:
(a) ‘BargainingUnit’ means employees who fall within the scope of Article 3; ’Consultation’means that the Bureau shall, in advance, present for comment, discuss with, and consider submissions by the Employees without any obligations to accept or accede to any requests or statements made by the Employees; ‘Contract Employee’ is an individual hired to hold a contract position:
a) where a specific position is funded on a term basis of no more than one year, or to replace a full time employee on educational leave, sick leave, personal leave, parental leave, vacation leave, or any other approved leave of absence. Notwithstanding the above, a contract employee shall not be entitled to use accumulated seniority to displace an employee in another position at the end of a contract. ‘Coordinator’ is the person who is assigned administrative responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a program, unit or residence.
(e) ‘Education Leave’ means leave to attend educational conduct research or be involved in a or field placement of a nature and at an institution recognized and approved by the Bureau;
