Common use of Intern Pharmacist Clause in Contracts

Intern Pharmacist. An intern pharmacist is a non-licensed employee permitted to practice pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Upon graduation, if the graduate intern pharmacist fails to pass the Pharmacist exam after taking the exam two (2) consecutive times, after the second time they may be offered an open pharmacy technician job (if they are currently licensed as a pharmacy technician with the state of California). If the Company has no available positions in the region, they will be terminated and shall have no recourse to the grievance procedure set forth in this Agreement. Employees promoted or hired into intern or graduate pharmacist positions on or after October 1, 2015 shall be excluded from the bargaining unit.
