Common use of Intercept and Referral Announcements Clause in Contracts

Intercept and Referral Announcements. When a Customer changes its service provider from VERIZON to SPRINT, or from SPRINT to VERIZON, and does not retain its original telephone number, the Party formerly providing service to such Customer shall provide a referral announcement ("Referral Announcement") on the abandoned telephone number which provides details on the Customer's new number or provide other appropriate information to the extent known. Referral Announcements shall be provided reciprocally, free of charge to either the other Party or the Customer, for a period of not less than one hundred and twenty (120) days after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of business Customers and not less than thirty (30) days after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of residential Customers or other time periods as may be required by the Commission. The periods for referral announcement may be shorter if a number shortage condition is in effect for a particular NXX code.

Referral Announcements shall be provided reciprocally, free of charge to either the other Party or the Customer, for a period of not less than one hundred and twenty eighty days (120180) days after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of business Customers and not less than thirty ninety (3090) days after the date the Customer changes its telephone number in the case of residential Customers or other time periods as may be required by the Commission. The periods for referral announcement may be shorter if a number shortage condition conditions is in effect for a particular NXX code.
