Common use of Intent and Understanding of the Parties Clause in Contracts

Intent and Understanding of the Parties. It is the intent and understanding of the parties that the parties will renew this Agreement for successive school years and will preserve the initial terms and conditions of this Agreement unless extreme circumstances require that one or both of the parties call for an alteration in the Agreement’s terms and conditions. In such event, the party whose circumstances require the change will communicate with the other party in an attempt to negotiate a mutually satisfactory change.

Intent and Understanding of the Parties.
