Common use of Informal Adjustment Clause in Contracts

Informal Adjustment. Prior to filing a written claim, the claimant shall meet with the party or the employee against whom such claim is to be asserted for the purpose of attempting to adjust such alleged claim without further proceedings. The request for the meeting must be made on the Informal Adjustment Form (see Appendix A) located within the Master Agreement within ten (10) days from the time of the event or the time the claimant reasonably should have known of the event.
