Individual Research Clause Samples
The 'Individual Research' clause defines the rights and responsibilities of parties regarding research activities conducted independently by one party. Typically, this clause clarifies that any research performed outside the scope of a joint project, using only the individual's own resources and without access to the other party's confidential information, remains the sole property of the researching party. This ensures that innovations or discoveries made independently are not subject to joint ownership or claims by the other party, thereby protecting each party's ability to pursue separate research interests and avoid disputes over intellectual property ownership.
