Common use of In-Service Program Clause in Contracts

In-Service Program. The Hospital agrees to maintain a 18 continuing in-service education program for all nurses covered by this 19 Agreement. Reasonable notice shall be given for regularly scheduled in-service 20 education programs whenever possible. When reasonably possible, the Hospital 21 shall make in-service education programs available to nurses on all shifts. In the 22 event a nurse is required by the Hospital to attend in-service education functions 23 outside their normal shift, the nurse will be compensated for time spent at such 1 functions at their applicable rate of pay, including applicable differential, and 2 overtime, if appropriate, for hours worked.
