Common use of If M Clause in Contracts

If M. I.T. or a third party licensee decides to discontinue paying the prosecution or maintenance costs of a case in the PATENT RIGHTS, LICENSEE shall have the right but not the obligation to assume the patenting costs to prevent abandonment of the rights to such case.
