Common use of Hostel Clause in Contracts

Hostel. If you or one of your dependents, requires treatment at a hospital located more than 100 kilometres from your home, and if such person or the attendant requires hostel accommodations during the period of treatment, the reasonable and customary per diem charge, to a maximum of $25.00 per day, for such hostel accommodations will be considered an eligible expense. If the patient is over the age of 18 years, the hostel charge for the attendant will only be considered if the attendant was medically required.
