HOLIDAYS - QUALIFYING. Article 17.01 applies only to employees who have attained regular employment status and who have worked the regularly scheduled work day before and the regularly scheduled work day following the holiday, unless their absence is due to illness, authorized leave of absence, or vacation. In case of an employee’s illness or injury, the Employer shall have the right to request a certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.
