Harvester’s lien Sample Clauses

Harvester’s lien. A person who owns or is hired to operate machinery used in harvesting crops gets a lien against the harvested crops for the value of the service provided.184 To preserve the lien, the creditor must file a financing statement within 15 calendar days of finishing the work.185 The lien has priority over other liens, except a perfected crop input lien for the reasonable cost of the seed from that crop and a perfected landlord’s lien in the same crop.186 If more than one harvester’s lien exists, the conflicting harvester’s liens rank equally in proportion to the value of the service provided.187 178 Minn.
