Guaranteed Permits Clause Samples

Guaranteed Permits. For a feature motion picture as defined in Article 1.04 of this agreement, the Employer will be allowed an aggregate of six (6) permits, with a limit of one (1) per department.
Guaranteed Permits. For productions with a total budget of more than five million dollars ($5,000,000), the Employer will be allowed four (4) guaranteed work permits with a limit of one (1) per department. Guaranteed permits will be declared in advance of requesting additional work permits (Section 4.03).
Guaranteed Permits. The Employer will be allowed one (1) permit. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this language is not intended to alter the practice of granting work permits to non-Union represented Employees on all productions covered by this Master Agreement as outlined herein.
Guaranteed Permits. “The following shall apply to the Companies on the list of signatories supplied to Local #873 by the AMPTP on January 18, 2021 January 5, 2024, and/or their related or affiliated entities and those entities for which they have provided a letter of guarantee: “The Company shall be allowed two (2) four (4) permits per production, with a limit of one (1) per department.” “When practicable, the Company shall notify the Union of its intent to utilize this provision a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the commencement of work for the individual and provide the Union with a completed Local 873 Work Permit Application signed by the applicant prior to commencement of work for the individual. It is further understood that nothing in the foregoing language is intended to limit the Company’s ability to employ additional non-Member permit workers upon consent of the Union as contemplated in Article 5 of this Agreement.”

When practicable, the Company shall notify the Union of its intent to utilize this provision a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the commencement of work for the individual and provide the Union with a completed work permit form at Schedule (E) or Schedule (E2), signed by the applicant prior to commencement of work for the individual. It is further understood that nothing in the foregoing language is intended to limit the Company’s ability to employ additional Work Permit Employees upon consent of the Union as contemplated in Article 5 of this Agreement. The Union will not unreasonably deny granting additional work permits consistent with past practice.
