Common use of Grandparent Clause Clause in Contracts

Grandparent Clause. On July 1, 2004, the PTO Program supersedes the vacation, sick, personal and floating holiday programs previously in effect under this Agreement. At the time of conversion staff members sick account balances will be added to individual sick leave reserve account. Sick leave reserve may be used for absences in excess of five (5) consecutive days (40 hours regular straight time) due to personal illness and FMLA qualified leave.

Grandparent Clause. On July 1, 20042005, the PTO Program supersedes program superseded the vacation, sick, personal business, birthday, and floating holiday pay programs previously in effect under this Agreementeffect. At the time of conversion staff members conversion, bargaining unit employee’s sick account balances will be added to were placed in their individual sick leave reserve account. Sick leave reserve may be used if requested in writing to Human Resources for absences in excess of five four (54) consecutive days (40 hours regular straight time) due to personal illness and or FMLA qualified leave. HRM will credit the individual’s PTO balance for approved sick leave reserve usage. Sick leave reserve may be used to meet the entire ten (10) day waiting period for access into the sick bank.
