Grading and Reporting. Report cards will be issued K-12 twice a year, at the end of the first semester in January and at the end of the school year in June. Elementary teachers will share student progress at Fall and Spring Conferences as well. Secondary teachers will be expected to enter grades into EA+ at a minimum every two weeks. For grades 6- 12, progress reports will be sent home at nine (9) weeks and at twenty-seven (27) weeks by school administrators.
Grading and Reporting. Teachers will maintain required records including grade books, summative progress reports, grade reports, attendance, and anecdotal record keeping in a timely fashion in accordance with District policies and procedures. Teachers will provide progress reports and report cards for the students to which they are assigned. Report cards and progress reports will be scheduled in collaboration with TEA, District leadership, and building instructional leadership teams. The District will not alter the grade assigned to any student by a teacher without prior consultation with the teacher, except in extreme circumstances. The teacher may appeal, in writing, any grade changes to the Superintendent or designee.

The District will communicate to the Association their intent to change how grading is calculated and reported prior to implementation and before communicating with families and the community. The parties will meet to discuss and negotiate any working conditions that are impacted by the change. It is understood that the sixth-grade exploratory wheel will be graded on a quarterly basis.
Grading and Reporting. When the District and the Association deem necessary, representatives shall convene an advisory committee to review grading and reporting practices. The guidelines for committee work are found in the Committees Memorandum of Agreement.
Grading and Reporting a. Educators will be required to abide by established grading and reporting policies and practices. MCPS is returning to the district’s grading and reporting program. b. The parties agree that the district will return to its established Evidence of Learning assessment program and that any new assessments will be implemented in compliance with the existing collective bargaining agreement and the Less Testing More Learning Act, or as mandated by MSDE to support the Recovery Plan for Education.
