Standard Employment Contract. Staff members receive a base contract for 183 days of work performed during the scheduled workdays on the negotiated work year calendar. This work year calendar includes the 180 student school days, 3 additional workdays, and 21 additional PLE hours (3 days). If the district/principal requires employees to be present beyond the written contract, those who are required to attend shall be compensated on a true per diem rate.
