Governments. For governments there is a similar benefit as for insurance companies: cost reduction of care because people can continue to live in their own environment and do not need to move to an elderly home. Furthermore, due to the improvement of conditions of the (working) relatives, there will be a reduction of the hours lost for the care of the elderly, which will increase overall productivity. Finally, another important goal of the Dutch government is to keep elderly as independent as possible, living in their own environment with the help of first the informal and then, when needed, formal caregivers. The VSP will possibly stimulate this independence and sense of autonomy and stimulates living at home for a longer period.

Governments. UNDP’s primary partner, stakeholder and client for capacity building are Eastern Caribbean Governments – at sub-regional, national and local levels. M-CPAP programme results will focus on building capacity in government ministries and agencies in Barbados and the OECS. These institutions will, subject to capacity assessments, be the main implementing partners in the programme. This should ensure ownership and sustainability of results. The Ministry of Finance or other Ministry designated as the Government’s Focal Point and Coordinating Authority for UNDP in the programming countries will play a key role in the M-CPAP implementation, overall policy direction and the lead in monitoring progress towards expected results.

All government are expected to behave responsibly in the management of AI for governance and for interactions with individuals and such behavior must be easily auditable. • Respect and implement AI governance of honesty, transparency, accountability to effect collaboration with international communities. These standards and norms are also to be applied in every area of governance. • Create incentives for citizens to use AI in ways that benefit society (each person can do good work for society that will be recognized as value, and this value can be exchanged with other values such as financial value, products, services, etc.). • Create norms/laws/rules to ensure AI benefits society. • Create secure safety net for citizens affected by AI. • Protect and promote IP rights without undermining movements toward free access of knowledge commons. Connect between governments: • Norms, values and standards of Social Contract 2020 are designed as connections among governments. To maintain the Social Contract 2020, it is essential to establish a Democratic Alliance for Digital Governance. The first countries of the Alliance should include US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, India, Australia, Japan.
Governments. Chapter 7 applies to the provincial, territorial and federal governments, i.e., the signatory Parties to the AIT. Departments, ministries and similar agencies of government are required to examine their practices to ensure they comply with the obligations of the Chapter. For example, in posting employment opportunities as an employer, governments cannot require that applicants reside within the province or territory as a condition of eligibility for employment (see Section III:
Governments right to take remedial measures In the event the Technology Partner does not maintain and/or repair the Trains in conformity with the provisions of this Agreement and the Maintenance Manual, and fails to commence remedial works within 15 (fifteen) days of receipt of a notice in this regard from the Government, the Government shall, without prejudice to its rights under this Agreement including Termination thereof, be entitled to undertake such remedial measures at the risk and cost of the Technology Partner, and to recover its cost from the Technology Partner. In addition to recovery of the aforesaid cost, a sum equal to 20% (twenty per cent) of such cost shall be paid by the Technology Partner to the Government as Damages.
