Galvanized self-tapping No.10 screws, 2 ½ inches long, with gimlet point should only be used when it becomes necessary to anchor a furring strip directly to corrugated roofing where there is not an existing rafter underneath to anchor into. All fasteners shall be installed every twenty-four (24) inches on center along the panel or furring strip. Corrugated roofs may require 3 1/2 –inch fasteners. The Contractor shall furnish and install fasteners of sufficient length to ensure a good connection.
