Common use of Full Day Absences Clause in Contracts

Full Day Absences. In the event that an employee is absent for a full scheduled day of work and the employee does not have any PTO available, the Employer will deduct an amount equal to percentage of time off in full-day increments taken by the employee to the extent permissible by law. For example, if a full-time employee who is scheduled to work five days in the workweek does not perform any work on a scheduled day for personal reasons, the Employer may deduct 1/5th of the employee’s weekly salary.
