Float Pool Nurse Sample Clauses
Float Pool Nurse. A float pool nurse is a staff nurse who has the competency and is able and willing to work in three (3) or more clinical units and has applied for and been accepted into a Float Pool position. A float pool nurse may be required to work in any clinical unit for which she or he has the required competency.
Float Pool Nurse. Float Pool RNs are acute care RNs that assume a patient assignment in a clinical department based on their skills and expertise. They are deployed from the central staffing office for a set period of time and assigned to a particular department in alignment with the staffing model for that department. The Float Pool RN works under the direction of the charge nurse and department leadership in the unit to which they are assigned for that time period.

All Tufts nurses who are hired into the float pool will receive the differentials as indicated below in lieu of the normal shift and weekend differential listed in Article IV section 4.4 & 4.5 upon completion of orientation: Category Differential Days $3.00 Evening $56.00 Nights $78.00 Weekends $4.00
