Fixed Period. The monthly annuity shall be payable to the annuitant for a fixed period of time (not less than 5 years nor more than 30 years, as specified in the election). If, at the death of the annuitant, payments have been made for less than the selected fixed period, monthly annuity payments to the annuitant's beneficiary shall be continued during the remainder of such fixed period.
