The "First Step: Administrative Transfer" clause establishes the initial process for transferring administrative responsibilities or control from one party to another. First Step: Administrative Transfer. The employee(s) in the position(s) to be eliminated or for which the hours will be reduced by the District shall be administratively transferred to a vacant position, if any, in the same classification, hours, and work year. If there is more than one vacancy in the classification, hours, and work year the employee shall be allowed to select a vacancy. If there is one or more employees in the same classification, hours and work year in the position to be eliminated or for which the hours will be reduced, the most senior employee shall be administratively transferred first. Employees being transferred under this section shall receive at least ten (10) working days notice of their new assignment.
