Common use of Fire Chief Clause in Contracts

Fire Chief. If the grievance has not been satisfactorily resolved in Step 3, the grievant may request that the grievance be advanced to the Fire Chief for investigation and determination. Such request must be in writing and made by the employee within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the decision in Step 3. Within 15 calendar days of receipt of the grievance, the Fire Chief shall conduct an investigation of the facts and information relative to the grievance, and meet with the grievant and their representative to discuss the grievance. Within fifteen (15) calendar days of the meeting, the Fire Chief shall render a written decision to the grievant with copies to CVPF.
