Common use of Fines Clause in Contracts

Fines. Fines are often issued for, but not limited to, tampering with fire safety equipment, and property damages. All fines are set at the discretion of the Campus Housing staff. Residence Life staff have the authority to issue floor/ community fines to all members when responsibility for behaviour and/or damage in the community is not assumed by the individual(s) responsible. If deemed appropriate, the Residence Life Co-ordinator will levy a fine in writing and the fine will be applied to your student account through Quest. Academic marks and other processes will be withheld until all fines have been paid.
