File Tab. File Name Specify the file name of the image that is to be scanned in. File Type In the pull-down menu, select the type of file to save. Auto-Assign Filename Direct Output to a File Save as 24-bit Color After the document is read, the data is automatically saved as 24-bit color TIP The file name is automatically generated when a number is appended to the right end of the file name that was saved using this setting. The automatically generated file name is the same as the previous file name except that the appended number is incremented by 1. The number is incremented until the maximum limit is reached, and then reverts to zeroes.
