Faculty Member Coverage Clause Samples

The Faculty Member Coverage clause defines the terms under which faculty members are provided with insurance or other forms of coverage by their institution. Typically, this clause outlines the types of coverage available, such as health, disability, or liability insurance, and specifies eligibility criteria, enrollment procedures, and the extent of benefits. For example, it may state that full-time faculty are automatically enrolled in a group health plan, while part-time faculty may need to opt in. The core function of this clause is to ensure that faculty members understand their coverage options and protections, thereby reducing uncertainty and providing financial security in the event of illness, injury, or legal claims related to their professional duties.
