Extra Teaching Assignment. Any employee whose teaching assignment exceeds the regular employee work day or exceeds the regular daily teaching assignment shall be additionally compensated as follows: An employee who voluntarily chooses to teach a class during the designated professional preparation time, before or after school, or during seminar period, shall be compensated for the additional period by calculating the employee’s standard per diem class rate and assigning that amount for additional teaching time.
