Common use of Extended Coverage Clause in Contracts

Extended Coverage. An employee on approved leave without pay shall be allowed to continue his/her health/dental/life insurance coverage provided that the employee shall pay their share of the monthly premium by the tenth day of each month, during said leave. An employee who terminates County employment is covered through the last day of the month in which he/she is paid for County dental plans and through the last day of the month following the month of termination for CalPERS plans. Employees who terminate County employment may continue Group Health/Dental plan coverage to the extent provided under the COBRA regulations.
