Common use of Excessive Absences Clause in Contracts

Excessive Absences. Excessive Absences shall be defined as absences within the control of the employee, excluding scheduled vacation days, which exceed a total of sixteen (16) or more days per school year (determined by considering that employees receive 10-12 sick days and 3 personal days per year). This does not include absences attributed to serious illness or injury with proper medical documentation.
