Common use of Evening Classes Clause in Contracts

Evening Classes. At schools where evening classes are part of the regular curriculum, the principal will seek volunteers who are certified to teach such classes. An evening class is defined as a class which begins at or after 6:00 p.m. Should no certified teacher volunteer, the principal may assign a certified teacher from the school's faculty to teach such a class. A teacher teaching an evening class will be assigned his two non-student contact periods between his teaching assignments for the regular instructional day and the evening assignment, making his instructional day as continuous as possible. In no event will the break in his instructional day exceed two hours.
