Entitlements Upon Return to Work. (a) Vacation entitlement shall continue to accrue while an employee is on leave pursuant to Clause 22.1 (Pregnancy Leave), 22.2 (Parental and Adoption Leave) and 22.3 (Extension of Leaves) providing the employees returns to work for a period of not less than six months. Vacation earned pursuant to this clause may be carried over to the following year. Vacation time and pay shall be prorated based on hours worked during the calendar year. (b) An employee who returns to work after the expiration of pregnancy, parental, adoption or extensions to such leaves shall retain the seniority the employee had accumulated prior to commencing the leave and shall be credited with seniority for the period of time covered by the leave. (c) On return from pregnancy, parental, adoption or extension to such leaves, an employee shall be placed in the employee's former position or if the former position no longer exists, in an equivalent position.
