Common use of Enabling Authority Clause in Contracts

Enabling Authority. The County and the Authority are authorized to enter into this Agreement and to make the cash contributions and transfers as provided in this Agreement to Habitat pursuant to the following: A. Virginia Code § 15.2-953. Virginia Code § 15.2-953 enables the County to give funds to any charitable institution that provides services to residents of the County, that provides housing for persons 60 years of age or older, and to provide funds to the Authority for the purposes of promoting economic development.
