Common use of Emergency Alert System Clause in Contracts

Emergency Alert System. Company shall install and maintain an Emergency Alert System in the Franchise Area only as required under applicable federal and state laws. Additionally, the Franchising Authority shall permit only those Persons appropriately trained and authorized in accordance with applicable law to operate the Emergency Alert System equipment and shall take reasonable precautions to prevent any use of the Company’s Cable System in any manner that results in inappropriate use thereof, or any loss or damage to the Cable System. Except to the extent expressly prohibited by law, the Franchising Authority shall hold the Company and its employees, officers, and assigns harmless from any claims arising out of use of the Emergency Alert System, including but not limited to reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.
