Common use of Electrical Currents Clause in Contracts

Electrical Currents. We" do not pay for loss or damage caused by manmade or mechanically produced electrical, electromagnetic, or magnetic currents or energy; or by their arcing, that results in damage or disruption to: a. electrical or electronic wiring, networks, systems, appliances, or devices; or b. networks, systems, appliances and devices which utilize wireless, microwave, satellite, or cellular technologies. However, if a fire results, "we" do pay for the loss caused by fire. In this exclusion, electrical, electromagnetic, or magnetic currents or energy includes, but is not limited to: 1) the flow of electricity and its' arcing; 2) electromagnetic energy pulses; 3) electromagnetic waves (microwaves); or 4) the electrical charge generated by or conducted through a magnetic or electromagnetic field.
