Common use of Effective Date: Term of Employment Clause in Contracts

Effective Date: Term of Employment. This Agreement shall commence and be effective (and, except as provided herein, the Prior Agreement shall cease to be effective) as of the Effective Date, and shall terminate at the close of business on December 31, 2014, unless sooner terminated in accordance with the terms of this Agreement or extended by mutual agreement of the parties (the period during which this Agreement is effective being referred to as the “Term of Employment”). If for any reason Executive is not employed by the Company on the Effective Date, this Agreement shall be null and void and of no force and effect, and the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with Executive ceasing to be so employed shall be governed by the terms of the Prior Agreement.
